Let it snow, let it snow.... ya right we are in Oklahoma and we get ICE here

We started to get the ice on Monday afternoon... we decided to stay inside and not go anywhere. But OF CORSE those plans don't ever seem to stick. I was running upto AtWoods to get some ice melt and i received a phone call from my dad that he fell at work on the ice and wanted me to come and pick him up in Claremore. Cooper and i made the trek there to get him. He was fine but a little shook up and didn't want to drive with the crazies out driving in Tulsa. So to make a long story short Cooper and i were in the car on Tuesday for 3 1/2 hours. It was BAD! LOL...

So DAY 2: Tuesday...

Todd didn't have school so we decided to drive out to get dad's car.  Broken Arrow was ICED over

But if you drove slow it wasn't too bad. Todd thought that if we went early enough we wouldn't get in to too much trouble. Well getting up to Claremore wasn't too bad. BUT it was off and on raining and sleeting the whole way. Thus over time the roads turned to CRAP! This is me driving on the highway...

I was going a whopping 25MPH so no harm to snap a quick pic... :)

I was slipping and sliding all over the place! By the time we made it back to Tulsa and then back to broken arrow the roads were HORRIBLE. The highways didn't even have ruts to drive in. But we made it home safe and sound!

Day 3: Wednesday.... Still no school for Todd

We thought it was time to take cooper out to play in the snow/ice. We bundled him up with 3 pairs of pants, 2 shirts and 2 pairs of socks.

He LOVED it... Sledding down the driveway was the best!

 

He kept saying GOGOGO!

But it wouldn't be right unless cooper MOWED the snow :)

 

All in all we had fun!

Even the dogs were going nuts!

Tomorrow is back to normal again. No more play days for Todd.

He really wanted to give me kisses on the cheek... but he kept putting his cheek against mine! :)

Cooper enjoyed his dinner. He LOVES tacos... (he just eats about a pound of the meat)

I hope everyone is doing well. We are suppose to be getting another ice storm tomorrow night... Lets just hope it isn't as bad as the ice storm in 2007. We were without power for 5 days. Mom and Dad were without power for 7 days.... lets just hope we don't loose power this time. I just went to Sams last week and got frozen food... that i don't want to go bad!

Picasso a la Cooper... Take 2

Mommy got smarter.... we sat in our CHAIR at the table.... same result though... more ended up on my table than on the paper... and he took a bite out of one of the crayons... but now mommy has cooper artwork!!!

Remember Cooper's Show... The Backyardigans...

Well we got tired of watching his show ALL the time in the living room... SO we got smart and moved the TV from upstairs (that we never used) down into Cooper's playroom.... Thus making it a Backyardigan's marathon 24 hours a day... (not really but its possible now!)

soon we will teach him that... the TV stand is not a chair... and the TV is not a foot rest... but We decided to leave that for another day.

Bowling....

Today we went bowling for the first time with Cooper. We went with our friends, Reagan & Mike, and Cooper's girlfriend Kamber. We had a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed pushing the ball but didn't quite understand that they couldn't roll the ball EVERYTIME.... still need to learn the whole "taking turns" thing.

They did however enjoy running around the bowling alley.... running in front of everyone else that was bowling.

I will post pics later... i forgot my camera but Reagan didn't! :)

ps.. has anyone else noticed how EXPENSIVE bowling is now?!

He is only 1 1/2 and i am already blogging about his girlfriend...

Ok... so its official... Cooper and Kamber are and Item..... :) She is even an older woman.... well by 14 days... but still an older woman no less!

Santa brought Cooper some paints for christmas and mommy has been to afraid to get them out... but tonight cooper was adamant on painting.... and here are some pics. Retirement for Katie and Todd....... hummmm you be the judge.

Gymnastics....

Cooper has started a weekly gymnastics class. The first week we were in Florida so the 2nd week we were a little behind... but he did so good. The only boy in the class!!! And of coarse a huge HAM! Today i was able to take a few pics while he was running around aimlessly.
