fa la la…

Well, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Our family had a great Christmas…. aside from being sick! :(

Cooper was sick Christmas Eve – but woke up Christmas morning super happy and excited! SANTA had come!!!

But back up to Christmas Eve… We have made it our Worsham Family tradition that on Christmas Eve we go and visit Santa at Utica Square. Its always cold/rainy/snowy…. and you have to wait in line outside of the little house… but its always a ton of fun! I’m not a fan of the mall Santa's and Cooper has actually sat on the same Santa's lap the past 3 years.

He was REALLY excited when we got there.

Nana came up and joined and helped out.

I thought this picture was sweet. He was peeking in to see Santa before his turn…

Both boys did really good. Corbin doesn’t look like he feels very well – this was right before we noticed he had a bad eye infection :( But Corbin wasn’t scared of Santa and Cooper talked to him really well!

Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas – This is something Cooper and I have talked about for the past month… he has told me a variety of things… but it always came back to a kitchen and a car driver… (aka a racetrack). So when Santa asks him what he wants I’m expecting one of these responses… no. Cooper says… “I want a misty island rescue set” – WHAT?! I had bought cooper all his gifts already (like the entire toy store) and a misty island rescue set was not one of them… nor do I know what it is.

Luckily Christmas morning his gifts were everything he always wanted.

Christmas Morning.

Cooper woke up and was just beside himself excited. Even though some of the presents had been under the tree for a few weeks now, he told me that Santa brought ALL the presents. He didn’t quite understand that some of the gifts were from other people. Oh well. we had a great time! I’ll share some pictures below.

the christmas train

With cooper’s love for trains it was hard for us not to go again this year to the christmas train. Cooper’s best friend Ben and his family went with us…

We decided it would be fun for the boys to ride together… but because there were 9 of us total we had to split up into two cars… Its about an hour and fifteen min drive - Valarie and I were the smart ones… we rode in ‘the other’ car :)

and by the looks of it – it was a good decision… the boys were REALLY excited!

it was dark by the time we got there… and cold…

After the big train (and our 5 min come to jesus meeting)… the boys went to ride on the little choo choo. I was impressed that it was FREE! :)

all and all it was a great experience. We didn’t get a chance to do everything and both cooper and ben got hurt (but were fine) – but we will definitely be back next year! (hopefully with the Dobbin’s family again!)

Cooper’s School Christmas Party

Today was PJ day at school… Cooper doesn’t like to dress up – He wanted to wear his jeans and shirt… not his jammies. He told me NO… I told him all his friends were going to be wearing their jammies and he needed to too. We compromised. He wore the bottoms and then he also wore his basketball shirt.

IMG_4680It was also his school Christmas party today. He had been super excited about it all week. I signed him up to bring cupcakes and found the most adorable Christmas tree cupcake cake at Target! (and it was delicious too!)

I got to his his party a little early… the party hadn’t started and they were in the playroom playing. It was so cute – he wanted to show me all of his friends and all the fun things they do in the playroom. I will admit… it was pretty cool! I never had a slide coming out of the wall at the playrooms at MY schools!

It was time for the party… and cupcakes. (he was watching himself in the mirror)

Earlier in the month we were asked to buy a book that was under $5 to bring for a book exchange. The kids would get to do a drawing and each get a new book! What a fun idea!

He had a really fun party… and is even more excited for Christmas. He kept saying… “mommy can I PLEEEEASE have more presents?! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!”
